Constant facebook notifications?

Whenever I log into facebook now I'm greeted with notifications telling me 'Spotify added X number of songs you've listened to in the past to your timeline'.
The number grows each time I log in, now up to about 320 songs.
When I click the notification it shows a whole bunch of songs I haven't listened to, some of them are my starred tracks and some are completely random (but I understand this is a current bug).

These notificiations are a real pain, they only just started showing up this week and are already VERY annoying.

Is there a paticular setting I need to change to stop this?

Could someone please address this?  Glad to know I'm not the only one that finds this annoying..

If you don't want to share every song you listen to, go to preferences and untick "Show what I listen to on Facebook".

If you do want to share, I don't have a solution to this. It seems to be a message generated by Facebook, not Spotify.
