Spotify 412 error

I recently deactivated my facebook, not realizing I could no longer use spotify. I reactivated my facebook and then spotify logged me in  offline. I logged off, and tried to log back on and it said my firewall won't allow me to log in because of a 412 error. That's complete crap because I don't have a firewall ANYWHERE on my computer, or through my router. I tried changing my facebook password, I uninstalled and reinstalled spotify, I uninstalled the app on facebook and reinstalled that. I even did that stupid trick where it's supposed to magically make spotify work again by clicking play on one of the songs listened to by other users. I'm getting really annoyed right now and if someone could help me fix this problem I've spent the last two hours on that would be wonderful.

I have seen this happen before, accounts normally return after a period of 24 hours, no idea why!

Are you logging in using Facebook or Spotify details? 

If you are using Facebook, has anything changed on your Facebook lately, have you got an advanced security settings active on Facebook?

Hi,

I am having the same issue with the error 412 - i have checked my firewall and uninstalled and reinstalled spotify but the error message still appears - it also says i can change my proxy settings?!

I am using spotify log in not my facebook one.

Any ideas?

Did you ever solve this? I am having same issue. It worked fine, then I updated with new update on Dec.17th and since then everytime I try to log in, it fails and gives me Error 412 on my Ipod touch
