How do I remove the Spotify Premium 😄 😄
Hi Mige,
It's a shame you want to leave us. If you'd really like to cancel the renewal of your subscription to Spotify then you can do so on your Subscription page: https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/
Just follow these instructions:
1. Under the heading "Manage your subscription", click "View your options"
2. At the bottom of the following page, click "Click here to continue to the cancellation page"
3. On the following page, select one of the listed reasons for leaving
4. Then, click the button "Cancel Subscription"
Your subscription will expire at the end of the period that you have already paid for. After that, your Spotify account will return to the ad-supported service.
Hi, I'm having massive problems; not least that I bought a 6-month subscription and have had x2 account log-ons sent to me and have enjoyed Spotify for only 4-days (log on: pf330ci). Don't know if it's ok to post log on but it doesn't work. What a waste of money!
Second problem - and this confirms that I very much want to enjoy and stay with Spotify, is that I took out a subscription with my cable provider (Virgin Media) and can only access the free service. The VM deal is 3-months free followed by a monthly sub'. I actually don't mind paying even if I feel I've been fleeced for 6-months service I'm NOT getting.
Can you help?
MelSwan - We really don't mean to 'fleece' you. I'm sure there's an innocent misunderstanding here. If you could contact customer support, we'll be able to take a closer look.
Sam
I've left umpteen - and I mean quite a few - messages and none were returned; bar after the first log in failed and I received a new code. Fact is I've paid for 6-months worth of Spotify and have nothing to show for it (4 days use under two different codes with both throwing me out after only 2-days. Yes, I feel that I've been fleeced, ripped off and that no one is listening to me. I'm even quite angry; as the tone of this post might suggest.
Because I know that Spotify is a great product, I tried a different route - through my internet provider (as above); but still no luck. Their offer is 3-months free then a subscription then a monthly sub' thereafter. The subscription I'm happy to pay even if it means I lose out on three months I've technically paid for... if you follow.
With apologies if this is coming across as an angry rant, but when you leave messages and no one gets back to you, expectations begin to plummet. I did get an email a few days ago suggesting one of your technical team were looking into matters; but guess what, nothing further. Better stop... I'm ranting again ;0)
If you could help, I'd be eternally grateful, I need my faith in Spotify restored.
Cheers
Mel
Hi Sam
Apologies for my ranting and please do not take any of this personally. The latest code I have is: (log on: pf330ci) I purchased this using PayPal last week and the code i had before also failed. someone from your tech' side was apparently looking into matters.
I can log on using my email but I'm only down as rec' the free service. All annoying and a little frustrating; especially given the fact that I've now committed to two subscriptions but still NO Spotify Premium!
Can you help? Anyone??
Cheers
Mel :0)

Strange, if you get in touch with the team directly here they should be able to get that cancelled for you.

Hey there! Welcome to the community! 🙂
Go here and verify if you have a subscription. It should look like this page:
If you have a subscription and you would like to cancel, click "Manage subscriptions and payment". From there you should have the option to cancel your subscription. If you can't find it try going here.
To whom it may concern,
I am extremely unhappy with Spotify's customer service; however, i absolutely adore and miss my premium account status that has been stripped from me. With that being said, the lack of a phone line to speak to a representative not only makes the amelioration process much longer, it also leaves the subscriber, once finally answered, with a huge sense of ambiguity. Steve, who i spoke with in my email, was not much help in solving my problem (no offense Steve.) It's just that he gave me a very vague, almost cookie cutter-response which did not deal with any of my current issues. I have been a premium account user for about a year and a half, i use spotify for about 10 hours out of the 18 hours that i am up, and I reccomend your services to any body who asks me for a good streaming app. I would consider myself a loyal customer, one who is absolutely obsessed with how Spotify works, and now, one who is a little dissapointed. A few months back, the student discount was instated, and i immediately signed up. Not being vigilant of my account, i assumed i was being charged the 5.35 (including tax) fee; however, as you can tell, the discount was never applied. So, i contacted customer support, and they assured me there was a mix up and that if i re-did the process, I would be receiving the discount. Once again, this time watching my bank statements, i realized that once again Spotify did not allow my student discount to come to fruition. (You would think you guys could give me a reimbursement for a few months of the difference i was being charged as a non-student) So, less, than pleased, i once again contacted Spotify, with no answer. This led me to place a stop payment on my account, not allowing Spotify to withdraw anything more than the 5.35 fee; i was quick to recieve an email after that, almost immediately, letting me know that my services were being cut short. This is annoying to say the least. Now i figured, hey, let me just bite the bullet and just upgrade my account to premium and just have the problem solved after my long awaited email is received, since i desperately missed my services on my way to class this morning. Well once again, another problem: my card is blocked. Someone, please help me out? I love Spotify, and i don't something like this to leave a horrible taste in my mouth. Thank you in advance.
-Greg
Hello and sorry for your troubles, I hate to say it but all account issues have to go through the email contact, there is a twitter contact but I do not think account details are dealth with that way, only through the email contact. I figure since you did the stop payment on the card two things happened, your card company and/or banking institution probable needs to lift the payment ban on the card itself, and might be spotify got a charge back as well and you need to contact them through the email contact to get it all straightened out, as their system might have an auto block for card stop payments as well, these things cost money for everyone to do and fix.
