Why charge for mobile, but not for desktop?

I don't see the logic (aside from increased revenue). Why charge for features on the mobile app, which are free on the desktop app?

Spotify listening whilst mobile has always been a premium only feature, businesses gotta make money somehow! There is also the issue that Spotify desktop uses p2p technology to share the streaming bandwidth demand around the network whereas Spotify mobile streams directly from the Spotify servers which uses more bandwidth on Spotify's end. That costs more money.
