[Subscription] Military / Forces Discount

Spotify currently offer students a 50% discount, yet no forces discount. Spotify should introduce a forces discount for current serving members of the armed forces.

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange.

 

We've discussed this idea and while it is interesting, we aren't able to prioritize it and don't have any immediate plans to implement this. We will let you know if this changes in the future.

Hello I am an active duty service member which currently enjoys spotify very much. But I currently am on a coast guard boat and leave for weeks on end with out cell service or Internet. I can't see myself paying the premium price and not being able to enjoys as often while out to sea. If there was a discounted price I know many service men and women would subscribe.

THIS NEEDS TO HURRY UP AND HAPPEN. I'm in the army and everyone in my platoon uses Spotify. Not Pandora or whatever else. We use Spotify... when we go to the gym, or do PT, hook it up to the radio headsets in our strykers, in the field sucking for days/weeks on end or in the    barracks when we party.  

We might make money unlike our college counterparts but it's not that much. There is an old army proverb "The army give you $100, it takes back $99".  All  too  true.

 

Cut my brothers and sisters a bit of slack.

I love Spotify and would definitely go Premium if a military discount was implemented. Active, Reserve and National Guard too!

Considering the actual statistics: less than .04 of American citizens join the military. This is a good idea. I've paid 10$ a month for the past 4 and a half years.

I like the idea of active duty military to get a discount they can enter their dod number on their i.d. especially with all of the deployments being back to back I just finished one and spotify helped me get through it with the downloaded music.

I don't ask for much i never feel entitled to any discount however it helps but when you give a student discount and not someone in the military such as myself it kinda sends the wrong message

The business that Spotify would get if they did a military discount would be unreal. Both Apple Music users and pandora users would switch over. The fact that there is a student discount and no military one is sad. Not to mention music is usually what gets us through the deployments and hard times.
