Hi good day

 

I’ve been trying to access the Ai Dj feature for a few months. I was aware it rolled out in my country (South Africa) 2/3 months ago as many of my peers and family received the feature. I received the prompt letting me know I have access a few days later, but dismissed it as I was in class at the time. I assumed i’d still be able to access it despite dismissing the prompt. Since then i’ve had no way of accessing the feature or even knowing it exists on my device(s). after another month of waiting I tried reinstalling the app on both Windows 10 and ios (iphone 12), i’ve made sure my software was up to date. I have also searched through my spotify tabs and homepage but found nothing relating to the ai dj. I therefore decided to contact the help desk which told me to wait and that dismissing the prompt put me on a “wait list”. I have waited and it’s been almost another month and virtually all of my friends and family (including some who have made new spotify accounts) have access to this feature!! I’m starting to believe that there is an issue with my client or account. 

 

Im on a premium family subscription, every other account on my family subscription has access. 

 

I primarily listen on windows 10 and an iphone 12 but have listened on other devices too. 

 

I would really appreciate some clarity or help 🙂

Not to worry, DJ is still gradually rolling out to Premium users in selected markets. If you’re on Premium, in a market where DJ is available and not seeing it at the moment, rest assured it’s coming your way.

Fingers crossed it will appear for you soon and hope you enjoy it!

I recently tried cancelling my subscription (family) and it only removed one device out of the 4 using the subscription.

So, I got billed for yet another month. Upon seeing that there is a no refund policy, I decided to add the one device once more. I was informed that the address I was inputting was incorrect (it was not) and I had to then change the address (we take up two streets).

Now, anytime I try to access DJ X I receive a notification telling me that it is not available in my country.

Now that would be a valid point, except for the fact that I live in South Africa, a country where the AI dj has been released, and that I've used DJ X before.

My Question or Issue

i have used Spotify's AI Dj for like a year and just now it's saying currently only available in select markets. What's going on?

I am having this same issue and it's annoying. I been using it since it appeared. (I live in the US one the east coast.)

I currently live in UK and I'll be moving to Albania soon and also change the payment method to Leke so I want to know if I will lose access to DJ X and the other ai features

Thanks for joining the thread!

 

Unfortunately, AI DJ (including DJ X) is currently only available in select markets, and Albania is not one of them at this time. When you change your account country to Albania, you will lose access to DJ and other AI features that are region-restricted.

 

Your account country is determined by your payment method location, so once you switch to a payment method in Leke, your market will update to Albania and these features will no longer appear.

 

We're always working to expand availability to more countries, but we don't have a confirmed timeline for Albania at this point in time. We'd recommend keeping an eye on the Spotify newsroom announcements for updates on market expansions.
