Albums gone

Albums gone

Dear Spotify,

I just found out to my great horror that he soundtracks have been removed to all the "The Tudors" seasons and to the movie "Angels & Demons" These were some of my greates favourites! Why have they been removed and when will they return?

Kind regards,

Matthijs van der Ploeg

Hello there,

If a certain song is gone from Spotify, the artist has removed it pernamently from spotify. Artists could add or remove songs so its up to them.

Hope this helps you 🙂

Hello @tieskeiweske and welcome to the community,

Spotify wants all the music in the world available to stream. Unfortunately, sometimes for licensing reasons, or by decisions of a record label or of an artist, it can happen that some album, Ep's or singles available at a moment are removed from Spotify, sometimes temporary sometimes for a longer time, and even sometimes partially available in some countries and not in others.

Spotify is working hard daily to convince artists and labels to have their music permanently available to stream.

One of my favourite soundtracks has disappeared suddenly too:  "The Day After tomorrow" by Harald Kloser.

Not just from Spotify either, I can't find it to buy anywhere now.  It's been removed from Amazon, iTunes and all other music services which offer digital downloads.  Even the physical album is appearing as "Temporarily out of stock", not that I have anything to play CDs in anymore but the point remains.  Very strange!
