[All Platforms] Smoke Rings with Leif Andersson

During about twenty years the jazz fan Leif Andersson made a radio program every week called "Smoke Rings". It presented all kind of jazz music performed from its beginning to about 1975. The program lasted one hour and all programs are stil in the archives of Radio Sweden. There is several hundreds of these lovely programs which no one could enjoy today. However Radio Sweden has been selling out some of its records and perhaps Spotify may be allowed to play these lovely, timeless programs.

You can listen to one of Leif "Smoke Rings" Anderssons program on Spotify already today, which has earlier been produced as a record!

Thanks, I had already located the artist from a search on the Spotify service, just thought maybe you forgot to include the Spotify link to the release in your original post. But since you stated this was content done through a Jazz radio program, seems to be only a few releases currently available, I was just curious which one you was pointing out is all?

Audio sources from old time radio programs kind of fall within the same issue with missing music on streaming services, as the content holders i.e. the radio stations have to work out the issues over the recorded content in order to make the content available for streaming, or whomever currently holds the rights to the original recorded content.

I am a particular fan of content released from old time radio programs like BBC Radio, King Biscuit Flower Hour, and the John Peel sessions which were often made available as radio programs, and then later specific episodes were offered as Album or CD releases later over the years from the artists highlighted from the shows.

Hello again,
I know there is a few CD:s released with Leif Anderssons programs from Radio Sweden, but I guess not more than five. So there is a chance for Spotify to find the other which are missing. Besides valuable interesting information about the band, musicians and the actual recordings played, Leif Andersson chose his tunes with the uttermost taste. Thats why so many swedes, often in bed, listened to him as the last radio program of the day, and with a smile started sleeping to his final tune - Smoke Rings. His voice is soft, low tuned and a little rough.
