My Question or Issue

While the 2021 Android update works well for music, it makes it so much more complicated for podcasts.

I like that:

- by default, music is shown in a complete library. It gives me the options if seeing all my songs or sorting them into the various categories.

- I can select the "Downloaded" option as a sub-sort on the different sorting options.

- the 'add new playlist" button is in the top-right. This makes it super easy to add new playlists.

However...

- it seems in the update that "New Epiaodes" is only showing the most recent (single) episode of a podcast, which now means I need to go into either (a) "New Episodes", select "Go to Podcast", or (b) scroll down my lost of podcast shows I follow clicking all the ones that have been updated since I last listened to them, and add however episodes to the queue. Whereas before it was as easy as either playing through "New Episodes" or scrolling down to see all the new episodes that I had missed.

- I don't think it makes sense to display podcasts as shows (rather than epiaodes) because I would think most people would listen to podcasts episodically like TV shows, rather than in-bulk like they would an album.

- I don't like that you can't see individual podcast episodes nor sort them in order of release. I get most of my news through podcasts, and being able to sort them in order of oldest to newest is really important (and, incidentally, the main reason I tend to create Queues of podcasts, rather than use the "Your Episodes" playlist.

I liked the older UI which separated Podcasts and Music into 2 different tabs. Could a hybrid UI be made with the best of both worlds?
