How do I remove suggestions for completely unrelated podcasts and audiobooks from my home screen?

I am a paying customer.

So why is 1/2 of my homescreen massive suggestions (Ads) for podcasts I have never listened to and have no interest in, and why do I have massive audiobook "for you" banners AKA - ADVERTISEMENTS when I have never once listened to an audiobook on Spotify. 
Another question is - why are these clearly promoted advertisements bigger than the thumbnails and descriptions of the content I am actually subscribed to.
And why am I completely unable to remove them, minimize them, or just plain get new recommendations. 

Curious that a 'home' page spends more space advertising than reflecting my actual follows. 

I think we should be able to remove the ads for programs I don't want to see.

I agree with your feedback that the Home screen could be improved to be more personalized and show less content that is not tailored to Spotify users' unique listening habits and followed artists.

I'll also mention that there's a relevant Live Idea in the Idea Exchange for being able to customize the Home screen. If it’s something you’re interested in, I’d recommend adding your +VOTE to the idea (even though its current status is "Not Right Now"). The more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.
