Missing songs?

Hi I have noticed that over the course of my time with spotify that many of the songs I love have been taken off of spotify. This is something that is very worrying to me because i love these songs and have so many that I cannot keep track of one if it is deleted. will something ever be done to notify a user when a song is going to be taken down?

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

Songs are never removed from "Your Music" or from your playlists. When a song gets removed from Spotify, the song will be greyed out.

In the app settings there is a setting that you can change to your liking so that unavailable songs are either shown or hidden in your playlists.
