We wanted to address some recent questions we've received around the topic of content on our service that incites hatred or violence. 

The music in our catalogue comes from hundreds of thousands of record companies and aggregators all over the world, and those are at first hand responsible for the content they deliver.

However, we also have an internal review process on ‘offensive content’ which seeks to remove any illegal and offensive content from Spotify. This process includes working with guidelines from independent expert bodies such as the BPjM, which work to identify illegal content which is deemed to incite violence or hatred against groups or individuals based on their race, religion, sexuality or the like. Spotify takes immediate action to remove any such material as soon as it has been identified.

This process is under constant review.
