My Question or Issue
I have repeatedly tried and failed to report copyright infringement using the provided form. Each time, it refuses to accept the artist URI number. I have followed the instructions exactly to get the link from the "Share" button on the artist page.
Hi there, @AnaisNinFoundation
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!
Just to be able to investigate the issue further, send us a screenshot of the error you're getting when you try to complete the copyright infringement form. Note: When uploading any screenshots, always make sure there's no sensitive/personal info visible.
In the meantime, you can try filling out the form in a different device or using other internet connections (like a different WiFi network, mobile data, mobile hotspot).
Keep us posted!
This is the error which repeats every time. I have tried to use the link you get when copying from the 'Share' button on the page. I'm working from an office, desktop set up, with excellent Wi-Fi, so your suggestion to try a different connection is unhelpful. The bug is on your side
Hi again, @AnaisNinFoundation
Thanks for keeping in touch and for sending the error image!
What type of content do you want to report? If you want to report an audiobook, you would have to add the audiobook chapter’s specific URI and not the creator's profile. The audiobook's URI looks something like this spotify:show:ZByxs4*******. Instead of the asterisks you can write there the complete audiobook's code. Here in this link you can see more examples of URI.
Try reporting only the particular element that is infringing the copyright and let us know if it works.
Keep us in the loop!
The user/artist is an imposter and this entire account needs to be taken down. Do I have to report each pirated audio book individually?
Thanks for your reply!
If you're the owner of the content, you need to input all URIs that are in violation of your intellectual property. You can paste up to 200 in one form, just make sure there are spaces between each one or they're on a new row.
We also noticed that the files you're trying to report are uploaded as tracks (not audiobooks), so you'll have to pick "Music" as content type. Otherwise, the form won't accept your submissions.
If you have any other doubts, we'll be here!
I have just tried a number of different methods to report entire playlists i have where an artists unreleased track has been put on spotify under somebody elses name, or it seems like an ai copy of the artist.
I tried a number of different ways to get to the report form - I really feel like I had to work for it.
Eventually was rejected as the link was too long, then the uri or something was too long.
Would be great to just be able to post so that you could look into this and so genuine artists on your page arent getting ripped off.
I stand to gain nothing from doing this financially, its a waste of my time to try and do it, I actually like the tracks - however I feel bad for the artist that I like who is getting ripped off - in this case Gunna.
Also have Future and Lil Uzi Vert playlists where again there is a whole lot of content that if you played it to me I would bet a whole lot of money / know it is these artists, but they havent actually released them and probably are getting nothing out of it.
Do better.
