Suspicious Playlist

Hello,
I had a song added to a playlist called 'House Music' by the profile 'Artister.io' without my consent. Researching a bit I found the playlist to be somewhat suspicious, according to the site "https://artister.io" this profile charges to have music added to their playlists, but I did not pay to have my music added to any of their playlists. I wonder how to proceed in this case, cause I don't want to have my artist profile related to any playlists that use bots or something like that.

The most important thing all of us can do is report these playlisters (Artister and Waver.AI) Take screen shots, document as much as you can.  If you have reported them then there is a record of you letting them know and there are enough of us that Spotify is now well aware of this problem.  Let's all stay connected. I have the same issue right now , 3 days ago WAVR.io  add my song called Vibing Arcade to their playlist.

They increased my views a lot. I don't want to be penalized because of that . I didn't pay anything but got added to the playlist without consent . Hope Spotify won't remove my songs !

PS: I also added my songs to the wheel of Playlist of Distokid !

Yeah, same thing happened to me and same playlist. I’m also in the wheel of playlist. Hadn't done it in a while and right when I do, this happens. Tried to reach out to them to no avail. Good luck to you all though

My first song, "GABA" by Brk Evry Cmd was added to the same playlist as everyone else.

I don't know what can be done but I didn't pay for these services, I used the Wheel Of Playlist from Distrokid and now I guess I never will again. I just worry about being penalized on my first song since I was actually doing well on my own. Thank You!

I have recently had the same thing happen to me as well. These streams on this song I made a while ago have shot up and it looks nice, but it is very suspicious. Two of my songs have been added to their playlists without my permission or request. I don’t want to be flagged for fake streams. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, got the same problem with wavr.ai here. Added my song Tritium to this playlist without a name:

I also did not pay or ask to be on this, in fact I would this account the be deleted and this playlist to be gone.

Today I also saw, that I got into one of their playlist.

I searched up their website and clicked on „Contact“.

There I found their WhatsApp and wrote them, that I didn’t want to be added to their playlists and that they should remove me.

They responded a minute later and said, that they are sorry and will put my profile on a future blacklist.

Hope that was it.

Hey all, I posted a few months back on WAVR.  Things had been fine since then because it was clear that avoiding spinning the wheel of playlist was a fine solution.

Today my stats are showing an Artister.io playlist.  This time I have no idea how I was added because all of my activity has been just posting to social media, no distrokid playlist adds recently.

Now why would anybody COMPLAIN that their song wound up on a playlist and got heard? Be glad you don't remain totally unknown which is the fate of 99.99 percent of us anyway. Nobody has to ask permission to put one of our songs on a playlist.

DJ369 I don't want to argue, but two thoughts.  First, paying for botted streams is against Spotify's policy and opens an artist up to being removed from the platform.  Therefore, the appearance of such by being randomly added to what appears to be a botted playlist can be scary to an artist.  Second, people who bot are in essence stealing from the rest of us through those streams.  That's just how I look at it, and I know others may feel differently.

Hey Jeremy two of our songs got added into a botted playlist without our consent at all no payment nothing idk how this happening and I wanna take the steps now before our music gets taken down for fake streams when we didn’t do anything.  The company is called wavr.ai or something like that apparently.
