Suspicious Playlist

Solved!

Suspicious Playlist

Plan: Free

Country: Brazil
Operating System: Windows 10

Hello,
I had a song added to a playlist called 'House Music' by the profile 'Artister.io' without my consent. Researching a bit I found the playlist to be somewhat suspicious, according to the site "https://artister.io" this profile charges to have music added to their playlists, but I did not pay to have my music added to any of their playlists. I wonder how to proceed in this case, cause I don't want to have my artist profile related to any playlists that use bots or something like that.

Thank you all 🙂

Guys, if YOU don't buy views or followers how can you be punished? Overthinking something here. For my part, if I don't have to pay PLEASE put me on any playlist you like.

I got added to one of their playlists on Friday, August 19th, 2022 without my knowledge, and their numbers look suspicious to me as well.  In this case, the playlist was called Sheeran's Choice, and is located here: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/77Nwtz94I0ogTOZ5jttOvo.  They have their direct packages here: https://artister.io/shop Thankfully, I was only added for a day before being removed, but I wanted to comment to make it easier for others to research the illegitimacy of their playlist.  I have reached out directly to Spotify through the contact page on Spotify For Artists.

I hope this screen shot helps calm all those that are posting here to the effect HELP, SOMEBODY ADDED ME TO THEIR PLAYLIST! IT"S GOT TO BE A SCAM!!!
This is a portion of my own Spotify artist page. And it lists one of the Artist.io playlists as a source of streams. DO YOU THINK THEY WOULD DO THIS IF THEY HAD A PROBLEM WITH THESE PLAYLISTS?

Of course it's your own choice if you prefer to remain in obscurity.

It’s clear you don’t know anything about being succesful on Spotify and having good data. Botted streams give you fake streams, which equals bad data. These streams means nothing, these fake listeners do not return to hear the song again, they don’t save it, add it to their playlist or share it, therefore, your song could get impacted negatively by Spotify algorithms. Songs with these kind of data barely make it to the discovery weekly or release radar. Fake streams means NOTHING. I think you should do some basic research first, because most likely you will be the one remaining in obscurity in the long term.

Hi I need my song "Gucci **bleep**" by J Rodriguez to be removed by this bot playlist:

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6wiKetsuEIjefHMElTxVmi

My latest release has been added onto a playlist by a service called "WAVR.AI", I never solicited these services or submitted to them, but somehow it got added and now I'm seeing a spike in streams that are obviously fake all from Helsinki, Finland. I've tried contacting Spotify and they refused to remove the song from the playlist, and I'm at a loss as to what to do because I'm aware that this can both affect my profile as well as result in the song being removed from the platform.

Who else can I contact to have it removed?

I had a song (older recording, so quite random) included on the Carousel playlist (looks like for a day only) without me paying for it. Is this kosher?

My band had music in the Artister IO playlist over a year ago. I keep getting email alerts about this community issue as I posted in it at some point. I can't believe a year down the line and these fake playlists run by these scammy companies still exist. This is quite sad as I suspect these botted playlists are killing music careers before they've even started. Spotify what are you doing about this? Surely enough is enough.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread and perhaps hijack it, but since a few days ago an old song of mine called “Nova” started getting a lot of streams and I discovered that it was added without my knowledge to a very suspicious playlist that used to be called Medicaid Networking Productive (the name disappeared because I reported the playlist, but it is still up) with no followers at all, owned by a certain “Mata Manrique”. I don’t know what else to do short of taking my song down, since reporting apparently won’t stop them. Here’s the relevant URLs:

the playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0OrSSk2UiLsQkMXxK35XTn

the owner of the playlist, which has zero followers and seem to be a bot, all the playlists there seem to have AI-generated titles: https://open.spotify.com/user/31b76sa76bfqgrrlsdqypg5r3d2a

Thank you,

Dimitri.

Hi,

My song has been added to a wavr.ai playlist without my permission. It has ruined my real stats and I don't want to be punished for this. Could you take the playlist down? I will leave the link below. Thanks https://open.spotify.com/playlist/16NLCqqM0QMyrDpQ9WBV8O?si=2225c93ac4c74769

They are back again, looks like my song isn't on the playlist anymore but I see they have a new account: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6OWuXihxwwCYvN7k6h2cyh?si=9b6fd572fecf411c

Is this a bot playlist ? I’ve had songs added without my consent but it seems no one confirmed if it’s a bot service or not.

Hello there... So recently i got into this Artister.io playlist and the first day i got over a 170 listeners which is above my average daily listeners (25). It felt sus and when i checked i saw this Artister.io playlist with over 100 streams and I'm very sure the monthly listeners came from them. So i went to their website but it seem a little legit but i saw there that artist will pay to get ok their Playlist but I didn't so how did i get in, and the playlist had few song on them which seem competitive.

Pls Spotify community, help research this i don't know if their Playlist is fake... I'm confused and song just started kicking into the algorithm and i don't want this playlist to rupture the growth...

Thanks

SONG TITLE - NO LOVE

Hey i have the same problerm with wavr.ai playlist. They add my song - TomDan Memories to some how weekly playlists. Never asked to get therer. Please help

Nobody has to ask permission to add any song to a playlist!

Having the same issue here. So... it seems we have no solution for this... at least so far. 😞

I'm having the same issue with this playlist. 2 of my songs added without my knowledge, seems really fishy. Is there anyway for us to have our music taken off this, it is slightly concerning?

The songs are "Hearts" by Derelict Dream and "Orange" by Lou Forte. I have reported the playlist but I just don't want to be penalised for being added to something dodgy without my permission.
