Unplayable song and language on site

Solved!

Unplayable song and language on site

For some reason, a certain song that I love won't play. It doesn't show up in the albums list, but it showes up when I do shuffle play but it's skiped over like it's not there.

Song: Forest - Bonus Track  Album: Vessel  Artist: Twenty One Pilots

I just thought this was strange and thought some one could help.

Aslo, when I go to the official site the only language it's in is Swedish and I don't know how to fix that.

The reason is that the artist or their music label has likely decided to remove it from Spotify.

The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artist and their music label.

The songs/albums will still be shown in your playlists so you can keep track of them. Make sure to go in settings and check for the setting that shows unavailable songs.

Spotify wants all the world's music, and they're working hard on making this happen for you. However sometimes agreements can't be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership. Sometimes the music is only available in certain countries, while access is blocked to others. Sometimes the album or song will be unavailable temporary, and come back again later.

Also, if you are on the Spotify website, scroll down to the bottom and in the right corner click on the flag. It will take you to a page where you can change your country/language.

I understand what you're saying, but if it is just because the record label/band/manager etc. wanted certain songs removed from an album why wouldn't they have it removed from all the streaming sites? For instance Yesterday by GnR isn't available on Spotify but it is on Google Play Music. Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on this.

  • Android Spotify Premium: I'd like to see Spotify add 'reason' why a song I've played for long time now is 'unplayable' (when clicked on). This could help me decide if I want to continue to support this artist. Also, this could indicate a trend with artists against a particular music streaming business. I'm sure Spotify gets a 'reason' and I feel paying listeners have a right to know.
