What happened to this album?

Solved!

What happened to this album?

I have been a Spotify customer for a while now and I've enjoyed building my music library since. I have been let down though as an album from one of my favourite bands is no longer on Spotify. The thing is though that it is the only album from them that got taken off which to me makes less than zero sense. If you are going to remove music from an artist, remove all of it. Or better yet, remove the not so popular albums from the artist, not one of the highest rated ones there. Please bring back Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV from Coheed and Cambria

Hey there, sorry to read this.

I did find that release on the Spotify service with this very long title below, maybe the release you had access to was just updated recently and an earlier version is no longer available?

The release above is currently available in these listening regions on the Spotify service currently: http://kaaes.github.io/albums-availability/#4nYsnQpTAQaPzrPc6rOsBN

Hello:

Spotify has a normal response with regards to missing or unavailable music, so contacting Spotify you will get something like this:

Spotify wants all the world's music, and they're working hard on making this happen for you. However sometimes agreements can’t be reached with the artist or label or a change may happen in music ownership.

Spotify adds thousands of albums and artists are added every day. If you can’t find an artist you’re looking for, they may appear (or reappear) soon. In the meantime, feel free to contact the artist or their label to ask when they plan to be on Spotify.

Spotify users can use this Google form here:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScMGwTBnCz8nOPkM5g9IwwbpKolEWOXkhpAUSl8JjlkKcBGKw/viewform for music requests, there is no guarantees the content added to this list will become available. This is an internal list Spotify uses internally to see how popular certain content is that might be missing on the service.

Something along the lines above. The labels and media aggregate services control what content or releases for each listening region on Spotify is available to. I would give this a few weeks to work itself out usually it is something due to content corrections or music licensing's needing updated, and then the content comes back with most music offerings eventually, but this can take some time, most times content comes back in a few weeks.

@JayLB Well that is disheartening. They seemed to remove it from Canada as a region. Is there a way to contact Spotify directly to get information on a reason for that?

Cheers,

Tyler

As another Tyler from Canada currently trying to listen to this album and finding it completely unavailable I'd just like to point out the obvious and say that this **bleep** is extremely annoying.

Just this one album and basically just in Canada? Great.

I dont know why you removed j coles album the come up hes one of the most listened to artists and you guys took the whole album off. Put it back man
