How to limit the cache directory size for snap-based Linux client

How to limit the cache directory size for snap-based Linux client

To limit the cache size under Ubuntu, edit the file:

/home/$USER/snap/spotify/current/.config/spotify/prefs

Add the following line for the limit of 1024 MB (=1 GB)

storage.size=1024

there should be easier way to set the limit and clear it (like in app-setting)

my cache size was ~11GB (installed with snap on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS)

If you installed Spotify in Ubuntu via apititude, the config file is in:

~/.var/app/com.spotify.Client/config/spotify/prefs
