My Question or Issue
Debian package installation description on page https://www.spotify.com/us/download/linux/ is out of date.
The key for repository.spotify.com expired. The key in question:
931FF8E79F0876134EDDBDCCA87FF9DF48BF1C90
Solved! Go to Solution.
It seems they fixed it, I am not seeing the key expired anymore.

I recently updated Debian 9.5 Stretch and got the same error when I apt-get update - Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.9.0-7-amd64

I am having the very same problem with ElementaryOS (Ubuntu 16 based)

Oops, posted it before trying the command, it actually didn't update the key 😞
I have the same issue
I believe all linux users are facing this problem currently. And changing repo keys without announcement is not the smartest idea.
I got the same problem when updating my packages, what is going on?
Err:12 http://repository.spotify.com stable InRelease Las siguientes firmas no fueron válidas: EXPKEYSIG EFDC8610341D9410 Spotify Public Repository Signing Key <tux@spotify.com>
Same problem too. The repo keys are expired. It looks like spotify have already uploaded a new pgp key:
$ gpg --search-keys tux@spotify.com gpg: searching for "tux@spotify.com" from hkp server keys.gnupg.net (1) Spotify Public Repository Signing Key <tux@spotify.com> 4096 bit RSA key 48BF1C90, created: 2018-05-23, expires: 2019-08-16 (2) Spotify Public Repository Signing Key <tux@spotify.com> 4096 bit RSA key 341D9410, created: 2017-07-25, expires: 2018-07-25 (expired)
I tried to import the new key to my database, but the repos are still signed with the old key (http://repository-origin.spotify.com/dists/stable/)
Same issue on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Please provide a new signed key!
Same issue on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS

A link without context.
What information of the pinned thread are you referring to?
Quick glance: The thread is from 2017 and refers to the same installation page which is reported to be outdated (hence the problem). Am I missing something?
Not working for me also. I'm with Ubuntu 18.04
