Offlice cache storage doesn't change real destination

Offlice cache storage doesn't change real destination

Greetings.

I trying to relocate my offline playlist that uses 4 GB of storage info different hard drive.
I have not work option to change cache storage for desktop app. I tried to use option "Offline storage location" at settings to set a different path to cache folder for Spotify to different disk that automounted on startup (it has NTFS filesystem).

But after change location and restart app I see that cache and offline saves continue use default destination at `~/.cache/spotify` folder. At settings I see a new path and new folder have new autogenerated subfolders like '00', '0a', '0b' etc. but they doesn't have content inside and folder use about 200 kB space when old cache folder use 2 GB space.

Seems that option "Offline storage location" doesn't work properly.

The goal to do this - I hane not enought space at Linux drive and have dual boot with Win 11 and tried to make single cache storage for both desktop apps, to prevent duplicating my offline saved playlist.

How to fix this?

App: Desktop

Operating System: Linux Mint 22.2 x86_64, Cinnamon 6.4.14

P.S. I know that I can make symlink folder to required path, but I want to use 'legal' opportunity to use app setting.
