Segfault with the new update

  1. Your device and operating system: Gentoo
  2. Type of Spotify account you have (Free/ Premium): Premium
  3. The app version of Spotify you’re using: 1.0.88-r1
  4. Brief description of the issue: Spotify segfaults when I try to play anything
  5. Steps to reproduce the issue: Try to play anything

As addition infos, I don't use pulseaudio. Spotify has no use flags enabled :      Installed versions:  1.0.88-r1^ms(01:24:16 PM 08/27/2018)(-libnotify -pax_kernel -pulseaudio -systray)

It used to work perfectly fine with the previous version, so I assume something is broken in this new one.

I'm attaching the strace from advanced troobleshooting, I've had to zip it to make this forum accept it, sorry for the inconveniance.

Can you check 1.0.92.390 from testing that was just released?

Exactly the same here.

I downgraded to version 1.0.80 for now.

I can confirm that there is something wrong with the alsa driver or the fallback code that first tries to see if pulseaudio is available.

I will try to delay pushing 1.0.88 from testing to stable until this can be fixed.

I just installed 1.0.92 from Gentoo repository. Seems to work here.
