Spotify Linux - social-feed - Failed to load application

Solved!

Spotify Linux - social-feed - Failed to load application

I installed the last linux version on my Ubuntu 14.04 OS (64 bit), everything is working fine.

The only thing is that the social feed part doesn't work at all. I got a grey page with "Failed to load application social-feed:Not Installed:Application is not installed".

How can I fix it?

I used the official installaton procedure (gpg key, repo, apt-get etc...)

Regards

Hey @Tar,

Easiest way is to update Spotify to the most recent ( testing ) version.

You can either add it to the repo with the following command:

echo deb http://repository.spotify.com testing non-free | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/spotify.list

or download and install the package from here.

Thank you.

It pratically works, excepted :

The indicator in sound menu (not a big deal for me),

More annoying the app icon desn't appear as "active" in any launcher when the application is running :

if I reduce the app no way to bring it back : if I click the shortcut it opens a new instance.

I tried to purge / reinstall the app but it doesn't change anything. Someone has a fix?

hi,

after adding the repo i get the following error message, what can i do?

"W: GPG error: http://repository.spotify.com testing InRelease: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 13B00F1FD2C19886"
