Spotify for Linux not working when connected to work VPN

My Question or Issue

Hello,

I am having a problem with the Spotify for Linux app. When I'm connected to my work's VPN (the server is in Germany), the app won't load anything and it won't play any songs. If I disconnect from the VPN, everything looks normal.

I can also access Spotify through the web app using Firefox, so it doesn't look like the VPN is blocking any Spotify server or something like that.

I have attached two videos of what I see, in one of them the VPN is on and in the other the VPN is off.

I have contacted my IT department and they have tried to fix it on their side but, eventually, they have sent me to Spotify support, in case it might be something on Spotify's side or something I might need to configure differently.

Spotify is in version 1.2.74.477.

I have reinstalled the VPN app and that seems to have helped, I can now access Spotify with the VPN on. So this seems to be solved now.
