Hey guys,
I've just got a press release about spotfiy being available as a snap now so I've decided to try it (to write an article about it).
tl:dr it doesn't even launch on Solus.
marius@Dampfmaschine ~ $ snap run spotify Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gail" Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "atk-bridge" Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" Trace/Breakpoint ausgeloest marius@Dampfmaschine ~ $
Coredump
(removed since this is solved)
Please let me know if you need additional information, I'm happy to help.

I'm still seeing this problem, plus an InitializeSandbox error, so I'm wondering exactly what the fix from Canonical was?
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "gail"
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "atk-bridge"
Gtk-Message: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module"
[0221/101034.929338:ERROR:sandbox_linux.cc(344)] InitializeSandbox() called with multiple threads in process gpu-process.
that's weird, its working fine here. This isn't really on Canonical to solve since the snap is maintained by upstream. I'll ping some snapcraft friends, maybe they can provide some insights here.
I just installed Spotify via snap on Fedora 24 and am getting the same InitializeSandbox() error pasted below. Any idea how to fix this?

Well, I have the same problem.

I have the exact same problem. Ubuntu 17.10, freshly installed the OS today.
In my case it is Solus. As far as I know it has exelent implemenatation of ubuntu's snaps system.
I have the exact same problem with Ubuntu 17.10... I've had it a couple of times. It went away briefly, but it's back again.
