switching to another terminal pauses playback (linux, multiple xorg sessions problem)

Solved!

switching to another terminal pauses playback (linux, multiple xorg sessions problem)

It is usual in linux to have multiple terminal sessions (tty) running. When running spotify desktop client in one session and switching to another, playback pauses immediately, so it is impossible to run spotify in 'background' tty session. Can you please fix this? Thank you!

You can try adding your user to the audio group. If the problem remains, install playerctl, and execute this (in your main tty):

 playerctl --player=spotify play-pause
