Britney Spears album disappeared

My Question or Issue

Hi there, I noticed this past week that the Britney Spears album "Britney" (2001) has been removed from her main spotify page.  When I search for it, I can find it but most of the songs are greyed out.  Why would this happen?

I'm in Canada but this album has always been available prior to this.

Hi. Yes that’s the album. Only tracks 1,2,4,5,7 and 13 are available to me. And the album does not appear on the Artist’s page. But last week it was available. So why did it get taken away?

Spotify want to make all the world’s music and podcasts available, but this can vary over time and between countries, depending on the permissions from rights holders.

But new content is added to Spotify every day, so if you can’t find something you’re looking for right now, it may appear (or reappear) soon, so please check back! 

Meanwhile you can try using Britney's social media channels to find out why is it happening.

The same is happening here in Ireland. I can't find the Britney Album. I hope it reappears soon.

We don’t have all the world’s music and podcasts on Spotify, and what we do have varies over time and between countries. It all depends on permissions from rights holders.

If you let us know the country of your Spotify account and which album/ song of Britney Spears you're looking for we can check if it's currently available for streaming 🙂
