My Question or Issue

Hi! Since mid-February the Spotify desktop app for Mac doesn't open. I tried with reinstall the app and update to the latest MacOS version but the issue persists.

Could you give us more info about the issue you're experiencing? Does the app crash? Or you click on its icon and nothing happens? 

 

On another note, you mentioned that you've already reinstalled the app, but would you mind going through the steps of a clean reinstall, as it's more thorough than a normal one?

Hi Eni!

I clicked the Spotify icon and nothing happened. I made the clean reinstall and the app is working again. Thank you for the support.

Hi there. I'm using a Samsung computer. And every time I go to open up Spotify, it just shows a black & grey screen. I've tried opening from the web, but it's not letting me go on it either. All I wanted to do was listen to a playlist that I made, and now I can't seem to get to any of my stuff, or anything at all in Spotify.

To check, could you let us know the exact model and OS version on your Samsung computer? Also, let us know the Spotify version you have installed. And do you get the same gray screen from the Web Player? If you haven't, try accessing the Web Player from an incognito/private tab.
