I want spotify to show only local devices on desktop

I have this feature in the mobile app. But I can't seem to find it in the desktop (mac) app. Yesterday I woke up my father by playing a song by mistake in his audio device. I'd really like to not be able to make this mistake again. Login out of that device is not possible since I use it all the weekends.

The feature to show only local devices currently isn't available on the desktop app. However, you may find this idea about being able to switch off Connect interesting, as it's similar to what you're looking for. Feel free to check it out, if you haven't already. Note that despite its status, the idea is open for voting, so you can still give it a thumbs up. We revisit such ideas on a regular basis and it just might be that their time would be right in the future.

Switching off connections doesn't sound like a good solution, as I'm permanently connecting to local devices and that's what lead me to that mistake on the first place.
