My Question or Issue

Local files just don't appear on some of my playlists only on my mac. Local files work on my mac, they work just fine through the "local files" folder and some playlists that are entirely made of local files. However, when I try to add some of these local files to the playlist in question they say they are added but do not show up at all. Like it's not greyed out, it's just not there at all. Interestingly, on that same playlist but on my phone the songs are there, and if I queue them on my phone the mac can play them, but then the little icon saying your playlist is playing turns off, but remains on, on my phone.

Hey there @Seapickled,

Thanks for asking your question on the Community!

Can you let us know if you've already tried to log out > restart your device > log back in? It's also a good idea to try clearing your cache to remove any old files that might be causing issues.

Does this happen only with one playlist that you try to add local files to? Also is that list downloaded for offline listening on your Mac?

We'll be on the lookout for your answer and we'll see what we can suggest next.

I also have this issue, but I'm on the Window's desktop app. On my phone, it shows the local files duplicated 5+ times, but it doesn't show at all on the desktop app. I've cleared cache/downloads and logged out, and still can't see any local files in my playlists.

Hey @RayAsher,

Thanks for joining the thread!

If clearing the cache and synching your settings (by logging out and back in twice in a row) doesn't help out, we can go for a complete clean reinstall of the app instead.
Should the issue persist after this, do let us know and, if possible, please attach some screenshots of the described behaviour 🙂

And, @Seapickled, could you also check and let us know if the issue got resolved for you?

We'll be on the lookout for your replies.
