[MAC] Spotify not controllable with Apple Remote

Hey,

I'm using a MacBook Pro with infrared Apple Remote Control.

I discovered, that the Spotify app does not react to this remote!

Next/Previous and Play/Pause-button aren't working with Spotify, that's a huge disadvantage!

I would request to build in remote support at least for Apple's one silver remote!

Hey guys, this is an update for 2017 if anyone happend to Google this topic. First of all, if you're not on Patreon Lynx, you should be because i'd support you. Thanks the remote program works decent. My machine is macbook pro mid 2012. Im using the white old apple tv remote. The play pause keeps triggering itunes, but if you hold the fwd, rev, it skips and plays the songs. The volume is flawless and the play button sleeps and wakes nicely. So thankful for people like you who think about us. Cheers.

I did a quick install today on my iMac* and tried it on Spotify as well as the Sonos controller with the Silver Remote the result is the same Play / Pause + Volume works, however Next / Previous song does not work.

Is there some simple tweak I can do to make next song work ?

I might need to look into the development of this app again since I think a
bit has changed with the newer versions of Mac. I'll keep you all posted.
