New Playlists don't show up under Recently Played

New Playlists don't show up under Recently Played

Plan: Premium

Country: USA

Device: MacBook Air (M2, 2022)

Spotify for macOS (Apple Silicon)
1.2.14.1149.ga3ae422d

New playlists don't show up under "recents" even though I just played a song from the playlist. I can only find it if I search. Web player version works but not the macOS app. Tried reinstalling the app but that didn't fix it.

Also, recently pinned playlists don't pin to the top of my recents list.

Hi there @dsuh007,

Thanks for the post.

We tried this on our end, but couldn't reproduce it. It's possible that this issue is account or network related.

You can try the following:

  • Try connecting to another network.
  • Try using another account. You can ask a friend/ family member to log in with their account on your device or create a new free account for test purposes.

Let us know how it goes.

My Spotify player works correctly on all other devices except my Macbook
Air with local songs.

When I create a new playlist it appears on all other devices except my
Macbook air.

Hey @dsuh007,

Thank you for keeping in contact.

This could be related to the syncing between your account and your devices. In this case, we'd first recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a quick one and can be helpful in getting rid of any cache that might cause trouble.

If the issue persists, we'd recommend forcing the sync by logging out and back in twice following the steps in this article.

Lastly, if you have any active VPN, we'd recommend turning it off and trying again to see if it makes any difference.

Same issue, with a public playlist I created. Everything else works fine. Did the logout and all the other basics.
