Keep Screen on Apple devices

Settings option to keep screen on when playing on apple devices; specifically macbook pro on battery power.  Teach Apple that our streaming is as important as youtube's.  Now screen goes dark after few minutes.  Workaround is to play youtube videos on mute in hidden window.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards as it fits better here.

That being said, we've located some posts (this one and this one) from the Apple Community that contain some tips to prevent your Mac going to sleep while playing music. We'd suggest going to System Preferences>Battery and they locate both Power Adapter and Battery tabs. Enable on both of them the following:

• Prevent your Mac from automatically sleeping when the display is off
• Put hard disks to sleep when possible
• Wake for network access
• Enable Power Nap while plugged into a power adapter

That should do the trick. You can also raise your suggestions to Apple by going to their Community.
