Play/Pause button MacBook Pro version 10.13.1

Solved!

Play/Pause button MacBook Pro version 10.13.1

My play/pause button on macbook pro doesn't work anymore with spotify.  I am running version 10.13.1 and I use firefox as my internet search browser if that has anything to do with it.  What should I do? Please help because I love this feature.

Hello Samleinenbach,

If I understand correctly you're currently using Firefox for Spotify, if this is the case you can always try clearing your cache/cookies and restart your browser.

Clear cache:

  1. Click the menu button and choose Preferences.
  2. Select the Privacy & Security panel.
  3. In the Cached Web Content section, click Clear Now. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.

Clear cookies:

  1. Click Library (Or menu button, then library)
  2. Click History and then click Clear Recent History
  3. Set Time range to clear to Everything.
  4. Click on the arrow next to Details to expand the list of history items.
  5. Select Cookies and make sure that other items you want to keep are not selected.
  6. Click Clear Now to clear the cookies and close the Clear Recent History window.

If this doesn't solve your issue and you don't use the desktop version I suggest giving it a try and see if it works when you download Spotify.

Let me know if this solved your issue!
