Search Queries Not Showing Up

Hello! I'm on the Spotify website right now and cannot find my previous searches, perhaps due to a UI issue. See the screenshot below.

I can see the top part as a popout but other than that, no songs.

Hey there @connor_y123,

Thanks for reaching out!

You should be able to see the recent search results you interacted with (albums, artists, playlists, etc.). Can you confirm if you're clicking the search results or if you're only pressing Enter after typing?

If you clicked a result and still can't see it in your recent searches, you can try clearing your browser's cache to see if it makes any difference.

Keep us posted on how it goes.

Hey there!

I cannot see any of the search queries - they do pop up once I press enter, but usually I can see them just under the search bar. See the video attached for reference.

Hey @connor_y123,

Thanks for the video!

As a next step, could you try the following?

  • Check if zooming out/in changes anything (by pressing Cmd and +/-).
  • Test in an incognito window.
  • Disable any browser extensions.
  • Try a different supported browser.

Let us know if the behavior remains the same across browsers and include the browser version you're using so we can try to reproduce the issue on our end.

Cheers,

Hello! I've tried the steps you provided and still have the same results as before. My Chrome version is Version 128.0.6613.138 since I cannot update my Chrome any further due to OS restrictions. See the video below.

Hey @connor_y123,

Thanks for the additional info.

Unfortunately, Spotify's web player is only supported on the latest versions of supported browsers and we can't guarantee full functionality on older releases. As a result, some features may not work as expected.

If your device doesn't support newer Chrome versions, we'd recommend using the Spotify desktop app instead, if available for your operating system, or trying another supported browser that still receives updates on your device.

While we can't promise a fix for browser versions that are no longer supported, we appreciate you taking the time to report what you're seeing.

Cheers,
