Song keeps skipping on Mac Spotify Desktop App

My Question or Issue

Whenever I try to skip a song it will occasionally try to bounce to other songs in that playlist, like randomly. I am not sure if I am skipping too fast and if it is causing it to glitch, but the problem is now affecting my Google Home Mini; I ask it to play a song and it plays a random song that isn't even in a playlist. My Google Home Mini is connected to the Mac Desktop Spotify app, so I wonder if that's the reason, but it's just getting really annoying and I would appreciate it if someone could help me.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for reaching out about this. 

First up, it's well worth running a clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. This one is more thorough than the usual one.

If this doesn't do the trick, could you let us know if this is only happening on your PC or on other devices as well?

Additionally, we suggest that you try using a different internet connection to check if that makes the difference.

Hey Eni,
Thank you for your insight as far as what I should do to resolve my issue. Not only did I uninstall the Spotify app from my Mac, but I uninstalled it on my other devices and just to be sure I also did a complete reset on my Google Home Mini. The problem is now gone and I can finally listen to my music without it skipping.
