Spotify does not play music over WiFi to Bose Portable Home Speaker

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019) MacOS Monterey and today my Spotify stopped connecting and playing music on my Bose Portable Home Speaker and SoundTouch 300.

In the desktop app it just shows "Connecting"(screenshot attached) both for Portable Home Speaker and Soundtouch 300. I tried resetting my devices and did a restart for my laptop. I also uninstalled and installed my Spotify mac app.

I tried playing music via wifi from my phone to speakers, nothing.
I have a premium plan.

Hey @mihkelraag,

Thanks for the post.

Can you try connecting your devices to another network like a mobile Hotspot and try playing music via Spotify Connect. This way you can check if the issue is network related at all, since you can't stream music from both your computer and laptop.

Keep us posted on how you get on.

Hei, so what I did instead is I went to spotify settings somewhere and revoked
Bose access.
That did the trick.

Hello I am in a similar situation but I am using an Iphone.

I tried resetting the bose device, removing spotify from the configuration e testing on another network but nothing work.

Any help?

Thank you

Hey there @francosa13

Thanks for getting in touch about this.

We suggest that you check if the firmware of your speaker has any pending updates.

On another note, it's well worth running a clean reinstall of the app on your iPhone to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi @Eni,

thank you for your help, I tried both your suggestions but it doesn't seem working. With other music services it work fine, apparently it's something about spotify.
