Hello,
Spotify won't load the social activity bar, friends profiles or artist pages (remain blank, with a find people tab on the SB). It's working other than that. Happened after I installed the update this morning. Tried loading a previous version, that will open artist pages, but not the social bar (and it updates itself pretty sharpish).
I'm a premium user on a mac running OS X 10.7.5
Any ideas?

Update to my previous post:
Windows 8/ Windows 8 Pro is officially not the issue. I have another computer (Windows Vista Latest SP) and reintalled Spotify on this computer as well. The activity feed is showing similar, but even less recent results than my activity feed on my Windows 8 computer. I am certain this is a Spotify issue with either my account's handling in the system or how it is syncing activity with my friends.
Isn't there a way to ok on someone's profile and just see what they are listening too? Maybe a force update extension/application?...
Thank you in advance and please don't be afraid to have me to technical things please. (This isn't Tier 1 or 2 stuff here).
I am experiencing the same problem with my account. I became a member two weeks ago and I love seeing what other people are listening to. That is the whole reason I choose it over Pandora, but now the feed it totally dead. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, logged in and out. It is very frustrating. I am close to go back to Pandora. It is not my computer because I am having the same issues on my iPhone. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Facebook app. The whole refollow thing doesn't work because I just joined and followed anyway. So please I need help.
I just want to register another complaint that I'm also having this issue .The feed appears differently on every one of my computers and is always not updated and songs that my friends played days/weeks ago. I am amazed at having read this thread, which started in April 2013 - it is now the end of March 2014 and still no official word from Spotify or any kind of fix? Jesus.
i am having the same issue . it drives me crazy! I am close to getting rid of Spotify...
the active feed worked for half and hour .. probably even less and than it goes back to its frozen self.
the discover tab is also frozen..
wish they would fix this sooner!!!
Yep... one year on and still no fix... and pretty limited recognition of this issue. As I posted a year ago, I guess its not happening to enough people for Spotify to bother much about it. I hope for their sake it doesn't get worse or more people will follow my lead and unsubscribe. Please don't just threaten to do it on these pages... CANCEL your subscription and maybe, just maybe, if enough people do then this issue will draw the attention it needs from those responsible for fixing it.
This issue just started affecting me a week ago. My social activity feed is frozen, not updating. I have only tried signing out and back in, to no avail.
i am so close to cancelling my prescription. why am i paying for a service that isnt wokring properly? this is so frustrating as i love spotify but i also loved seeing what other people were listening to and since that isnt working anymore, whats the point? its so ridiculous spotify has not truly acknowledged a solution to this issue. how long does this have to continue before they fix it? cmon, this is a huge disappointment.

Thanks for reporting this. We're sorry for the issues some of you have been experiencing.
Yesterday we pushed some fixes which should have improved several issues with social features, including the social feed.
If you've experienced issues with the social feed lately, could you try again and let us know if you're still experiencing these issues? We'd like to get them reported as quickly as possible.

My activity feed still does not work.
Version 0.9.7.16g4b197456
Running on Mac OS X 10.7.5
It just says "Loading..." with the little circular loading animation indefinitely. Never actually loads. Still does not work as of this morning, has been this way for a couple of weeks.
It does not freeze, but it just never loads. Clearly whatever new changes were made have not worked.
Have you tried restarting the client, possibly a few times? That usually gets it going for me.
I've been having issues over a week now with the Activity Feed.
I've tried every variation of logging in/out, restarting the app, restarting my computer and clean re-installing spotify.
It seems to be momentarily fixed everytime I re-install in that it add a few new songs that my friends have listened to, but is still stuck.
My activity feed was frozen for about two weeks. Just this morning it's back moving as normal again, not sure if it has to do with the update mentioned above. I also started the desktop app from a different PC and found the feed working there as well. Good luck everybody and enjoy new music Tuesday!

No resolution here, after almost two weeks. Feed still not updating, even after uninstalling and re-installing. I primarily use laptop w/ Windows 7...shouldn't make any difference...as I have been using this from the start, with no prior issues. I would be interested in knowing what caused this breakdown in the first place...as it seems to have affected most if not all Spotify subscribers...
