Unable to use the spotify app in macbook pro nor the web version onn mullvad browser.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

 

Since you mention you're having issues with both the desktop app and the web player, we'd recommend trying the following to see if you notice any difference:

  • Perform a clean reinstall of the desktop app on your MacBook Pro. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can follow these steps to do it.
  • Clearing hosts file. You can find the steps to do it here.

If the above doesn't do the trick, then we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

  • A full description of what's happening on your side and the issues you are facing. Do you see an error when trying to open both the app or the web player? Is your library appearing empty? Send us as much info as possible.
  • The exact Spotify version you're running there along with the OS version of the computer.
  • Does this happen if you use a different browser such as Chrome or Opera?
  • Do you use a VPN? If yes, try setting up Spotify as an exception. Keep in mind Spotify doesn't officially support VPN. This means that issues with the app while using VPN are expected behavior.
