Albums and playlists keep restarting

Albums and playlists keep restarting

For the last month or so, my albums and playlists have been randomly restarting, sometimes after as little as one song. This never happens in the middle of the song, but usually what will happen is that after a song in the middle of the album finishes, it will play track 1 after that for no particular reason, and will never get to the end of the album. My "repeat" button isn't even on. Usually, if I leave the album or playlist playing and don't do anything like skipping or queueing, it won't randomly go back to the beginning - although sometimes it does. But almost every time that I skip a song, or queue a song from a different artist, the album/playlist goes back to the beginning after that song is done (i.e. I will be listening to a 10-track album, will get bored of track 5, skip to track 6, track 6 will play, and when it's done the next track will be track 1). I have uninstalled and reinstalled Spotify twice now. I don't seem to have the same problem when using Spotify on my phone. Does anyone have any idea about how to fix this?

I have the exact same problem and would be grateful if anyone could help. It's getting really annoying.

Hi.

Is there a clear cache option under "Edit"? If yes try, if no continue in this reply(can't check on my phone)

Have you tried a "clean installation"?

Here's a guide to do it, may differ a bit (I'm on Windows 10)

Uninstall Spotify.

Go to "C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Storage" and delete everything inside the folder.

Also delete the folder "C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Spotify\Users\<random numbers-user>\"

Reinstall.

Here's installer that should contain a full version of Spotify for Windows:
http://download.spotify.com/SpotifyFullSetup.exe

Thank you for the answer. For some reason the problem was fixed on my part when I turned the hardware acceleration off and restarted Spotify. Thanks for the help anyway and I hope HNERaldc finds the solution.
