Antivirus delets spotify from PC

I have Spotify Premium, however, few months ago my antivirus deleted it and blocks download. Error code 13: The installer is unnable to install Spotify, because the necessary files could not be created. I have tried all the suggestions regarding this error message.

I have had countless struggles with this error (everytime spotify brings out an update I have to do a complete reinstall). For me it used to work to use IObit Uninstaller, because it will also get rid of all files related to spotify that might either be used by another program as well, or that are just not deleted with the regular uninstall. After that a fresh download + install did the trick.

However, this time around that didn't work either, and the only thing that worked was getting all the (old!) spotify install files from a backup. It's my work laptop, so a back up is run every 12 hours or so. I was able to find it by right clicking the folder where it used to be installed, go to Properties (I guess that's the translation), and then "previous versions". There was one from a few weeks back and I could copy the whole thing to the 'today' version of that folder. After that I ran the installer again and it would work just fine! This might not be possible for a lot of people though, as this is as far as I know not usual 😉
