My Question or Issue

Every time I download spotify and then open it all i get is a black screen!

i've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and restarting my computer. 

it also has stoppedplaying in the web player but will still play on my phone.

Hey @KP1991, welcome to the Community.

Could you try disabling Hardware Acceleration?
You can do that from the … dots menu top left corner.

If that doesn't help could you try following the steps from this Spotify Answer?

Stop hardware accelerator,

Press ctrl + 0,
