My Question or Issue

When listening to my Liked Songs without shuffle or repeat enabled, one of the songs in the queue will endlessly repeat in the queue, without the user touching it.

I am not sure what causes this. The song that is being repeated, in this case, is the 124th song in the playlist I'm listening to. It also comes before a song that is not available in my region.

This issue has happened to me maybe once before. I am not sure if it occurs across platforms or not. A friend of mine has run into this issue as well.

Please see the attached files.

It appears that these entries are placebos. Right clicking on them does nothing, and I an unable to select them.

Double clicking or clicking on play just plays the next actual song in the queue.

This was occurring after I switched to Shuffle and selected a different song.

Please see the attached video.

Hey @kaworu_bloodpaw,

Thanks for posting this thread in the Community and for the provided details and videos. It helps us with the investigation. This is an odd issue we'd like to look in to.

You mentioned that a friend of yours has also run into this issue, but is it the same song or a different one that keeps being added to the queue?

If you're able to remove it from Liked Songs, please do so to test if that will make any difference with the queue behavior. You could also test with adding the song to a different playlist in case there's an issue particularly with the Liked Songs playlist.

On another note, this may be a cache-related issue and if you've not already done this, I recommend a clean reinstall with these steps. It often helps resolve different performance issues and it's worth giving it a try.

Additionally, as it's possible to download Spotify on Windows both from our website and from the MS store, download the version you weren't using so far to test if the same behavior would persist.

Keep us posted!
