"Hide announcements" not working - I am getting banner ads as a premium user

My Question or Issue

I am getting massive banner ads on my homepage disguised as "announcements" as a premium user, even though I have "announcements" disabled in my app settings. I pay to not get ads, why am I still being given this nonsense?

Perhaps there was a temporary issue with cache: does the pop-up disappear after toggling Show announcements about new releases "ON" and then "OFF" again?

It's also worth performing a clean reinstall of the app to take care of any potentially corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify available - just note that you'll need to redownload any content you had saved for offline listening as well as readjust your settings.
