My Question or Issue

Spotify app stops playing songs from my Local Files and announces it "Can't play current song".  This often coincides with the laptop disconnecting from my Bluetooth speaker.

Hey @Abc105.

Let's try changing the source folde of your local files to see if it helps. Also, make sure all files are compatible with Spotify. Spotify supports .mp3 and .m4p files (unless they contain video). If QuickTime is installed on your computer, .mp4 files are also supported.

If that doesn't do the trick, try reinstalling Spotify before trying again.

Let me know how it goes.

Logging out and logging back in appears to work.  The problem definitely goes along with dropping off the Bluetooth speaker connection, it doesn't happen when I'm playing through the laptop speakers.

Thanks for the info!

Just to confirm, are you switching to your Bluetooth speaker while Spotify is open? Also, are your sound drivers up to date?

In the meantime, try turning off Hardware Acceleration under View to see if it helps.

Cheers.
