Can't see the activity feed of the people I follow

I used to be able to see what the friends I follow were listening to.
Now I have this "see what your friends are playing" bar on the right and can't see what my friends are listening to anymore.
Can anyone help?

I have the exact same problem, happened to me today after an update I believe (may not be the reason why, but there was an update nonetheless). I have done nothing out of the ordinary, so this frustrates me. Hope somebody is able to help us!

Same here. This morning I see grayed out people who I've never followed. It seems like Spotify wants me to connect to FB in order to see friends. This has never been the case.

Can someone from Spotify address this and let us know what's going on?  I really love seeing what my friends are currently into but I don't even have Facebook so I can't connect via that method.  Please bring my friends back!

I was having this issue too and I only now managed to fix it. 

I'm guessing the recent update glitched the friends feed for a lot of people. The only way I managed to fix mine was to unfriend my friends, exit the app, then add them all again. It's a huge pain, but it's fixed now, and none of the other fixes I saw, like uninstalling and reinstalling, worked for me. 

Good luck! It's a frustrating little glitch, but let me know if this works for anyone else.

When I logged in just now, 3 of the 6 friends in my feed returned. Nothing is grayed out. Just glad to know this is a hopefully temporary bug, not a feature, or intentional change by Spotify.

Patience. After about 24 hours I could see all the people I follow in the feed (though I only had 6 to begin with).

me too!!! it's making me so angry. did yours ever get better? the activity feed was one of my favorite parts of the desktop app and now it's telling me i need to find people to follow. i follow at least 40 of my friends and still do but it's still not showing up, despite logging in and out 5 times, uninstalling & reinstalling 3 times, and restarting my computer twice.

I just did the exact same thing and nothing has helped. I'm really frustrated because that's the best feature to having a desktop app and helps me find new music. SPOTIFY FIX THIS.

chickfillasux and bonnierose2, this eventually resolved for me on its own.  I think it's just a matter of being patient and waiting for the list to repopulate, probably as your freind's listen and their habits get parsed by Spotify.

My advice?  Be patient and if the feed doesn't get repopulated within a week, reach out to Spotify.  This behavior does kinda suck and leads to frustration and taking a lot of time out of our day in an effort to resolve, so thanks for that Spotify...

agh all my friends are like me and have music playing literally 24/7 and the only way i got them to show up was by following and unfollowing them. it sucks though because i don’t remember EVERYONE i follow so right now the only people in my feed are my boyfriend and some other people. nowhere near as many as before /-:
