Cannot Get Spotify Web or Windows Program to work

I have used Spotify's web player at work for two and half years and did not have a problem until recently. As of late I cannot get the web player to play any music. The site is accessible and I am able to click on everything, but music will not play.
I have troubleshooted the following to no success:
- Logout/Login
- Cleared the cookies and cache
- Checked that flash is enabled
- Checked with the admininstrators of our internet, who assert Spotify functions on our network and no blocks or modfications to accessiblity where made
- Trying different browsers: Firefox, IE, Chrome
- Using a different account
Finally I figured it would just be easier to install the program on my computer, yet after downloading the program I was met with a new, equally frustrating problem: songs would play until near the end of the track and then freeze, giving me the notification that Spotify "Can't play the current song"
I have troubleshooted the following to no success:
- Install/reinstall
- Disable/Enable hardware acceleration
- Disabling import local files
At this point I am at a complete loss.
