Cannot use installed applications.

Cannot use installed applications.

Specs:

Windows 8 64 bit

Spotify: latest version 0.9.0.133gd18ed589

 

I cannot install applications to Spotify, this includes Tunigo, Pitchfork, We are Hunted and every other application.

 

I have tried a clean install. Deleted the local and roaming files in Users/Appdata and still nothing.

 

I have opened up the firewall. I have even turned it off.

 

 

Does anyone have a solution? The used to work fine.

Normslly I'd suspect a firewall/proxy/security issue but you say you've turned those off. What happens if you exit Spotify and run it as administrator. Not sure how this works on Win8 but on 7, I can do that by right clicking on the app and selecting to run as admin.

I acutally haven't tried that but did and still same result.  I made a batch file long ago to run all as administator.

Can you try uninstalling the client one more time and delete the cache then download and install the full installer from here. PLease also double check that you're not running any antivirus/security software.
