Changing song order (Windows, Android, Web player)

Solved!

Changing song order (Windows, Android, Web player)

So, I've been using spotify premium for a while now. I can remember there being an option to change the order of the songs in your playlist by artist/album/etc, but I can't seem to find it anymore. I know you can change the order of your songs by dragging them around, but I have too many songs to do that. Could anyone tell me where to find that option for either the Windows desktop app, Web player or Android app? Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for posting your question! In both the Android and desktop apps you can definitely sort your songs using the filters you described. Unfortunately, this option is not available in the web player.

In the desktop software, you can sort by title, artist, album, or date added by just clicking on the header for the column. Once one of these sort options is selected, you'll see an arrow indicating it is sorted in ascending order. If you click on it again, you can sort in descending order. Finally, just click one more time to reset your playlist to its custom order.

Here is a screenshot of the headers on the desktop:

As for the Android app, if you'll just swipe down from the top of your playlist, you'll see some options, including a filter where you can search your playlist for a particular track, and a "hamburger" options menu to the right, which is where the sort options are. It works very much like on the desktop, except to reset it you can just tap the "custom" option.
