My Question or Issue

 

For years now I have used Spotify at work, placing my phone on a dock speaker, and controlling all of the queue from my desktop PC.

Today, that seems to no longer work. I can control my PC with my phone, but not the other way around.

I have clean re-installed already. Restarted both phone and computer.

I don't know what to do. I believe there was a recent update that may have broken this functionality.

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? Sorry if that may sound as repetitive but if that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app following these steps. I'd also recommend using a differrent network to test it 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what I can suggest next!

I have tried repeatedly to reset as well as reinstall. I see others on this support website complaining about the same issue on different hardware. Sounds like a Spotify PC application problem to me.

@froglantern did you manage to find a solution for this?
