My Question or Issue
Pressing play on a daylist when playing through a connected device causes the daylist that was last started on that device to play, instead of the updated one.
Currently going to the connected device and restarting the playlist from there and then reconnecting.
To reproduce
Start a daylist playing.
Wait until daylist updates.
From another connected device, press play on the updated daylist.
The previous daylist will start again on the original device.
Does this mean you will be addressing this for Linux Desktop users as well? I just ran across this bug today. My iOS 18 Spotify app was telling my Linux computer running the Spotify application to play the daylist. On the phone it would not let me select the song to start with. When I told it to play the list I could hear and see it wasn't playing any of the songs on the list according to the phone. Restart of iOS app did nothing. But getting on the Linux computer and manually opening the daylist and playing from there brought it back in sync.
Hi, just me bumping, because this is still irritating on a regular basis, and we're at nearly 18 months since I originally posted.
Hi
This is 18-month bump.
Still no sign of any change/improvement on this issue.
Guess I'll be back in 6 months.
Dan
Hey Dan,
Thanks for checking in!
The right teams are aware of this and it is still being looked into, however, we can't give you a specific timeframe for when the issues you're experiencing with Daylist will be fixed. We'll make sure to let you know in this thread if we have any news to share.
In the meantime, as mentioned earlier, make sure your app is up-to-date. This is to ensure you get the latest fixes and features as soon as they're released.
Cheers 🙂
It's been two years now.
